Dr. Bob Cavana is an Associate Professor in System Sciences at VMS, and co-author of Systems Thinking and Modelling: Understanding Change and Complexity (Pearson Education, Auckland, 2000) and Applied Business Research: Qualitative and Quantitative Methods (Wiley, Brisbane, 2001; Chinese edition 2004).

Previously, he was Corporate Economist with NZ Railways Corporation and has consulted to various NZ organisations on economic, strategic, systems and business research projects. He is a previous President of the NZ Operational Research Society, currently a Vice-President for the International System Dynamics Society and on a number of editorial boards, including System Dynamics Review.
